Lantana: Hill Country Living
Lantana is a master plan community that can provide its residents with ease, a sense of community, security and convenience with all that it has to offer. Schools, an award-winning golf course, shops, retail and medical care are with-in the community or close by. Lantana is still currently being built, providing both resale and new construction opportunities for residents. This neighborhood wanted to replicate an Austinesque, hill country feel throughout the community. This is accomplished by its rolling topography, greenbelts and green spaces along the trails and the overall construction of the homes and amenity centers.
Lantana Community Association Inc. is managed by Insight Management. Monthly fees for a resident include front yard maintenance, security monitoring, cable, maintenance to and access to common areas and community events. This is a massive community that is made up of individual subdivisions with varying monthly fees.
The community provides mowing, edging, pruning, and weeding throughout the year, and three visits for fertilization for the front yard by Gold Landscaping.
All the residents have 24-hour security monitoring included in their monthly HOA fees by CoSecurity.
Cable is through Grande Communications excluding a few neighborhoods.
Within this community are 5 pools, 2 workout centers, tennis and basketball courts, catch and release ponds, playgrounds and walking trails. There are also covered patios and gazebos where community events are hosted or residents can rent them out for personal events.
Pools and Amenity Centers
In the community are 5 pools for the residents. Two are junior olympic size pools with plenty covered and open seating, spray parks and beach entries. The remaining three pools are more private and within individual subdivisions. These are located in Heritage, Sandlin and Lakespur.
Within the two amenity centers, North and South, are fitness centers accessible from 4am to 10pm with weight-lifting and cardio equipment, workout rooms for residents to take classes and locker-rooms. At the larger amenity center, are 5 lit tennis courts with a stadium court included. Bad Dawg Tennis offers camps and programs for residents and there are leagues one could get involved in. The basketball court is also lit and can be used at any time.
The Information Center is also located near the largest pool, Town Green and North Amenity Center. Here, one can receive information about the community and new home construction.
Hike and Bike Trails
There are extensive trails running throughout Lantana on 300 acres of permanent greenbelts. Abundant trees, playgrounds catch and release ponds and streams can be found all along these hike and bike trails for the residents to enjoy. The playgrounds are located in Brenham, Camden, Crescent, Heritage, Larkspur, Magnolia and Sandlin.
The Town Green and Community Events
At the Town Green,residents can gather for outdoor get-togethers like concerts for local musicians, picnics for holidays, festivals, sales like the annual Flower Sale, and activities throughout the year. Some activities include the chili cook, the Lantana 5K Run and the Monster Mile Trick-or-Treating. This is located in front of the largest pool in the community.
Gazebos and Patios for Rent
Residents have the ability to rent out the communities beautiful patio at the second amenity center for personal events. A second center will be built soon with an indoor facility available for rent as well.
The residents do not have direct access to the golf club, but can obtain membership easily at various categories depending on their level of interest. Lantana is located north of double oak and west of Highland Village. Off of FM 407, or Justin Rd., and it is only a short 15 to 20 minute drive to either 35E or 35W, and only 17 miles from DFW Airport. On the edge of Bartonville, Double Oak and Copper Canyon, a resident can have the commodities of a master plan community while being surrounded by acreage and horse properties. This community is safe, comfortable and has so much to offer a resident.
Just a stones throw of the community, is Lantana Corner and Lantana Retail. At these locations, one can find the Kroger and its gas station, along with it’s neighboring retail. Some of these include, Dominoes, Lantana Nail Salon, Tokyo Samurai Sushi Bar and Marty B’s and Starbucks. Also among these, is the Chase Bank and Med Spring.
Residents of Lantana also have the ease of accessibility to Highland Village Town Center, Marketplace Highland Village Shopping Center, and The Highlands Shopping Center and Highland Ranch Shopping Center. Here is also an abundance of retail, entertainment and restaurants; including Super Target, AMC Theaters, Blue Goose, Corner Bakery, Lowes, Best Buy, WalMart, Academy, Dick’s Sporting Goods.. 15 minutes from this community are some of the best options for health care in the metroplex, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital/Flower Mound and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital/Denton. Also nearby, is the Rapid Med-Urgent Care, Flower Mound 24-Hour Urgent Care, Denton Regional Medical Center.
Northstar Academy is located off Rayzor Rd., Near Rayzor Elementary, where daycare and education is offered for parents with infants up to kindergarteners. After school programs are also available for elementary school-age children. There are extended care hours available, summer programs and events, and Parents Night Out is offered twice a month.
Education for the residents children is a priority in this community. Being that it is Denton ISD, students in Lantana would attend three schools: E.P. Rayzor Elementary, Annie Blanton Elementary or Adkins Elementary. For middle school aged children, they all would attend Tom Harpool Middle School. All of these are all in Lantana and feed int Guyer High School. In an effort to fund advanced educational programs, Lantana’s Education/Charitable Foundation will and has taken one-half of one percentage from the transfer of real estate in the community since 2013.
Nearby this community, one could send their children, 12 months to elementary school aged, to Montessori Country Day School in Flower Mound. There are two local options if one is looking for Christ-centered environments for collegiate level preparation in private schools. Liberty Christian School is located in Argyle and allows enrollment of students pre-K-12th. Coram Deo Academy is located in Flower mound, allowing enrollment pre-K-12th.
